Father’s Day in the Iranian calendar is on the same date of Imam Ali’s birth anniversary, who was the first Shia Imam. In the Hijri Calendar, it’s 13th of Rajab which is celebrated in other Islamic countries like Somalia, Sudan, Mauritania.
In Islam, parents have important role and must be respected. So, this day is celebrated as the Father’s Day to praise the kindness and satisfaction of father’s and their undeniably important role in our lives.
